After a distinct lack of rain the River Forss along with other local rivers like the Thurso and Halladale enjoyed a fantastic spate during the 2nd week of August with considerable numbers of cracking fish coming off. Lesley had 3 fish (all mint fresh grilse) for 3 days fishing but that was paltry to some other rods who were catching up to around 8 or 10 fish a day many of which were returned. The Forss so far has enjoyed its best season ever so long may that continue.
